Middle of April

I cannot believe it the middle of April already.  Today (April 13) is my oldest due date - he was born on April 16, 2001 but today was supposed to be his day.  That day was also Good Friday.  Both Tony & I took the day off work in anticipation of this miracle.  We slept in, expecting it to be the last time that would happen for the next 20+ years, and then headed out to Good Friday services at church.  I kept waiting for labor to start and it never did.  We even went out to our favorite park and did the Baton Death March (at least to a 9 month pregnant women) with the dog and still no labor.

I had a doctor's appointment the previous day so I did not call.  I am sure they would have loved that one.  The next day still no baby.  The next day Easter Sunday still no baby but on the bright side everyone came to us just in case.  That night right before heading to bed, Tony talked to the belly and told this little guy inside that he needed to be born so daddy did not have to go to work.  Well the little guy listened and he was born that Monday.

I always think about this on April 13 - I even tell him that this was his supposed birthday.  With my other two I could not even tell you their due dates.  This is just the difference between the 1st and everyone else.
