what a difference a person makes

This weekend was a crazy/fun/draining weekend.

Draining -migraine both Saturday and Sunday.  Not fun but I know the routine.  Wake up with migraine - take my little pills (Relpax) and rest for about 90 minutes and I am good for the day.  They usually come back to back.  Rarely do I have a one day or three day + episode so that is one good thing.

Crazy/Fun - we have basketball both days.  I missed Saturdays game - Patrick scored!!  then when they got back I was feeling good.  So we headed out to Mt. Gilead State Park and went on a winter hike followed by sledding.  If I knew how to use my iPhone I would have video & pictures but I don't.  SUnday - Colleen had a birthday party to go to, Daniel had basketball (2 games).  I missed the first game and got there in time for most of the 2nd.  Daniel scored a basket in the first game and thanks to a dad I have video of it!  One great thing about Sunday's game was that there is a coach for Daniel's team who likes to yell at the kids and Daniel is a favorite target of his.  That coach also has favorites and they play the whole game - last week those 5 favorites played 95% of the time while his not so favorites played about 4 minutes of the 28 minute game.  My son is on the non-favorite squad.  Well that particular coach was not there and the other coaches decided to rotate the boys and it was awesome!  No parent left upset because their child did not play - each kids played within 3 minutes of one another time wise.  My hubby said some boys asked to sit because they were not used to playing.  This one coach sucks the life out of the kids.  I wished he could observe and see how well these kids did.  Every kid on the team scored a basket during the two games!  It was perfection if you ask me!

Video of Daniel scoring - he is #4
