Preparing for Easter

This week we are preparing for Easter both within and outside the Church.

Within the Church our plans are to go to Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday services.  The kids have Mass at school on Wednesday followed by confession.  So they are gripping that they will be at church 4 out of 5 days.  For some reason church is a big touch point within our family.  We are (I think) the only practicing Catholics.  There are C&E'rs but not each and every week.  They just do not GET it why they have to go to church and no one else does.

Also, we travel all over Ohio on Easter Sunday so in the past we have not done Mass because if we did we would not be able to visit both sides of our family on that Sunday.  We have also tried to do one family on Saturday and one on Sunday but that does not always work.  This Easter Sunday we hope to visit the Sorrowful Mother's Shrine in Bellevue Ohio for Mass.

Outside of Church - we are planning on laying low (except for the trip North).  I think we are just going to try to enjoy the time and relax.  The kids only have Good Friday and Easter Monday off this year.  They did their spring break in March instead of after Easter.   On Monday, Hubby is taking the kids to his plant to see how it works (they do this every year for the public schools in the area).

Stuff for baskets (egg hunt if nice) have been bought.  New outfits are purchased.  I am hoping for a fun time.
