word for 2010

I have been thinking about the word for the year and I have two.

1) Mom - I want to be a better mom to my kids.  I think I am  a pretty good mom but I want to be a great mom - they how I will have to think about

2) Frugal - I need to spend less this year.  I will do my best.

Ten days since last post and stuf that has happened

Well since the last post - 10 days ago - some things have happened.

1. OSU lost in the national championship game again
2. our car needed $900 worth of work. My parents in their generosity paid for most of it! I love them so much for that one
3. our 8th wedding anniversary. Tony bought me the sweetest card and some flowers. I on the other hand got him nothing to date. I am working on a scrapbook for the two of us.
4. Colleen visited her new daycare/preschool setting. She did not want to at first but she did enjoy it and talks about her 'school' all the time.
5. we went to the zoo to learn about pachyderms. We went with Uncle Paul & Aunt Suzy. Then they stayed with us and watched the kids while Tony & I went out to dinner with his work group. The dinner was nice - we were late and got to sit with the Plant Manager.
6. Tony is supposed to have a job interview on the 16th in Cincinnati for an operations manager position. He is not sure about going. I want him to see what is out there but it is up to him.
7. Had a meeting with Daniel's teacher about his reluctance to go to school in the morning. They have not seen anything except that he rushes to the bathroom in the AM.
8. Working on consolidating our debt so we can have a plan to pay it off.
9. Working on our Disney trip in December
10. NOT working on my goals list - need to write these down so I see them all the time and try to be more specific

I think that pretty much wraps it up for me...

End of 2007

I can't believe 2007 is over already. Where has the time gone and what has occurred in 2007 for me is not much. Status quo --- no change -- nothing new. To me that is sad. I am thinking of my goals for 2007 and I honestly cannot remember what they were. I know that I planned to work on my Patience with my husband and kids but I don't think that worked out to well.

I am going to try to work with Tony and get some goals for both of us and for the family as a whole.

Here are some ideas:

• paying off debt
• less frivolous spending - Lynn!
• exercise more
• eat better
• lose weight
• read some new authors - try something new
• scrapbook a page a week (52 layouts) don't worry about the past for the moment that will come once I get started
• take more pictures of the kids, of us, of our daily lives
• get a new job - Lynn

I think that is it for now...

Start of 2007

Well 2007 started out with a bang..... we did nothing in our household yesterday except drive one another crazy. We have been couped up for 2 days because of sheer laziness on the parents part to get the kiddos out of the house. we did get out of the house to run to the "mall" to buy the kids calendars for 2007. We were able to buy Colleen a Dora calendar (but she will not out it up on the wall). They did not have anything for the boys. Daniel did get a Bob the Builder ornament from Hallmark for 50% off! Patrick picked out some ornaments for Tony & I.
